Bio
I am a poet, writer, and teacher who moved from Minnesota to New Orleans in 2008 then returned home to Minnesota to stay in 2018 but that all came after stints in Colorado, Missouri, Iowa. I've got some hard-earned writing mileage.
In some of the most urban of settings, and the rural Midwest.
Poverty and excesses of New Orleans.
Lived through the George Floyd tumult - at ground zero.
It's been a hell of a ride.
These perspectives impact my writing in very unique ways.
