Redbox Records is a new Dance music label in Ireland.
Redbox Records started out life as a record shop a few years back, in Wales, U.K., a dream of label owner Paul Newhouse for some time.
Paul Newhouse has spent many years in the dance music scene, starting back in 1992, when he moved from his hometown of Dublin to live in Germany at the early age of 17. Paul was blown away by their underground dance scene and spent many hours studying DJ's such as Paul Van Dyk, Roland, Tanith and Moby. He spent many years clubbing at clubs like; Tresor, The Planet, and many festivals about Germany. The two-year experience in Germany led him to purchase his first set of decks in 1993 at the age of 21.
The Redbox Records record shop in Wales had to be closed due to the downturn in vinyl sales, so Paul decided to put his energy back into the name and continue with Redbox Records the label.
The aim and goal of Redbox Records is to break new artists in Ireland, and promote them globally, with a host of remixers and artist in store with quality productions, this label will only get stronger and stronger in the near future.
Redbox Records have a new website, www.redbox-records.com, with artist details, gigs, vinyl and CD shop, and Merchandise shop, forum, a weekly podcast.
