Bratby Law is a specialist English law firm with four practice areas: telecoms regulation, data protection, payments regulation and transactions. I advise regulated businesses, investors and technology companies on UK regulatory and commercial matters where product, contract and regulation meet.
- Telecoms Regulation UK telecoms regulation, Ofcom engagement, enforcement defence, infrastructure access, interconnection, spectrum, numbering, switching and the Telecommunications Security Act. My background includes direct experience at Oftel (the predecessor to Ofcom) and senior in-house roles at operator-side businesses.
- Data Protection UK GDPR, DPIAs, controller/processor analysis, international transfers, privacy frameworks and data protection for AI-enabled products. ICO engagement and enforcement.
- Payments Regulation Payments regulation, open banking, commercial variable recurring payments, scheme governance and DORA. As General Counsel at UKPI, I work at the centre of the UK's development of commercial account-to-account payments under the National Payments Vision.
- Transactions Commercial contracts, JV structuring, shareholder agreements, network-sharing, MVNO, infrastructure, subsea cable, platform, cloud, SaaS and corporate transactions across the telecoms, data and payments sectors.
