Bio
As a cradle Catholic, I feel like God's been watching over me my whole life.
In 2001, I moved from Vancouver to Salmon Arm, BC to be close to my newly retired parents.
St. Joseph's church welcomed me and helped me to attend Lay Enrichment session at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Shrine and Retreat Center in Cache Creek, BC for 2 years.
I've served in St. Joseph's church as a Lector, Minister of the Holy Eucharist, Rosary Prayer celebrant and participated in Liturgy of the Hours and Marion Movement prayers.
I'm a regular servant with my parents and various other parishioners in several capacities.
In September 2010, Father David Johnson came home from Peru to BC for a vacation. While in Salmon Arm he hosted a DVD presentation of his missionary work in Pamparomas, Peru. As a computer technician, I was asked to help him with the presentation. In talking to Father David, he told me he could use a technician and handy man in Pamparomas.
That's how my missionary work was initiated. I was able to raise funding with the help of; The Catholic Women's League, The Knights of Columbus, The Secular Franciscan Order and several parishioners from throughout the Diocese of Kamloops.
I've been in Pamparomas since May 3, 2011 and I'll return home to Salmon Arm May 3, 2012.
Thanks be to God for allowing me this opportunity to serve Him and the people of Pamparomas.
