Bio
OUR AIM:
Our aim is to work with the refugees currently stranded in Samos to cover their many needs ranging from provision of non-food items (NFIs) including tents, clothes and hygiene items to running an active educational and recreational programme for children and adults.
We are active 5 days a week in the refugee detention centre or “hotspot” where 1000+ adults and children stay. We also provide NFI distribution and run educational/leisure activities to a smaller number of refugees living in various shelters around the island in collaboration with the organisations that run them. Management of a large warehouse from which our work are based completes our activities.
We work closely with members of the refugee community giving us a privileged position of insight into their needs and we collaborate with the many groups and organisations working on the ground to best cover these needs.
