Bio
Sareh Farmand was born in Tehran, Iran in 1978, the year of the Iranian Revolution. Sareh’s family fled Iran in 1980 and lived in Europe for a year before immigrating to Canada in 1981. She is currently writing a book of poems recounting her family’s escape from Iran and life in Canada. Sareh holds two Bachelor degrees from UBC in International Relations and Education. Sareh’s poems have been published in The Teachers of English Language Arts Writing Journal 1994 – 1995, Elephant Journal, Grilled Cheese Magazine, and Emerge Anthology, and Pelak52. She lives in Vancouver with her husband and two children.
