Bio
I am a curmudgeonly anthropologist, artist/musician, agitator/thinker, grandmother-warrior. My posting name is neither my given name nor the spiritual name from my grandfather, it is a statement of my stance: "she speaks."
My path includes family traditions of healing that disrupt entrenched patterns of patriarchy, racism, and ego, by rebalancing through relationships to the natural world and all living beings. A woman of multiple heritages, surrounded by European culture, now living on the Indigenous lands of the Waccamaw, my journey has been an intriguing, circuitous, and sometimes bumpy ride.
