Bio
I am a 30 year old Chinese American that grew up in San Francisco. I have created art my whole life, but took a break in college to get a degree in Geographic Information Systems. After seven years of working in that field, I am ready to go back and pursue my dream of being a realist painting storyteller. I have lived my life, greedy for experiences, wisdom, and perspective. I have talked to people and traveled to many places around the globe. I want to share what I have found and seen, and what I have learned from those around me.
On October 1st I began full time study at the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto. I am starting this blog for those curious about what it takes to be a realist artist. I want to take you on my journey through school in case you are considering a similar path, but are hesitant because you know not what to expect. You will see the struggles I face, and get a sense of how long each project and concept takes to master and execute. I will share with you the education and advice I am getting at the school that will help train your eye to see better as well.
