Bio
Georgie Pope is a musician and festival organizer who loves to make musical connections between people. Over the last three years she has explored villages across North India, meeting and working with some extremely inspiring artistes. With the Jaipur Virasat Foundation, she has produced collaborations between folk musicians, classical stars and international artists, to create new platforms and livelihood opportunities.
She’s also helped to produce the Jodhpur RIFF, a festival that showcases Rajasthani music along with musicians from around the globe who have spent time collaborating with them. She now divides her time between making music in India and the UK and working at the Glastonbury Festival. Georgie created Sound Travels so she can share some of the discoveries she’s made and make new connections between India’s unbelievably rich music scene and the rest of the world. She has recently completed a PhD in ethnomusicology at King's College, University of London
