Bio
I grew up on Long Island, NY and every summer went to the beach. My grandparents had a summer cottage and we'd walk to Long Island Sound in Sound Beach, go swimming and then go into the sauna my grandfather had built...blissful. I was born in Brooklyn, NY in a section where all the Finns lived. I met my husband at S.U.N.Y at Stony Brook and graduated with a B.A. We have three wonderful grown sons. When we moved to Huntsville, AL, I attended the University of AL at Huntsville and graduated with a BSN and was a nurse for ten years before developing dystonia which limits my activities. I have always written poems and short stories and enjoy nature and the beach. Children need to develop a lifelong love of learning and allow their creativity to reach the stars.
