Bio
I am a wife and mother of two beautiful boys (3 yo and 6 months). My first moment of panic as a mother was bringing home my first baby and realizing that his survival was my responsibility. I had read the books about pregnancy and delivery but had no clue on what I needed to do to feed my baby.
I myself was a picky eater. I still remember sitting at the table as a toddler and having my mom beg me to eat. None of her tactics worked, but at some point later on became a good and adventurous eater. I discovered a passion for cooking and feeding others. it is no surprise that when I was starting my family I had great anxiety on how will my experience will be, on whether or not my kids will be picky eaters. My husband was also (and is still sometimes) a picky eater so I was determined on making a happy weaning experience for mine kids. Fortunately, my older son really enjoys eating. He tries new different things and loves his meat and vegetables. He loves spending time with me in the kitchen and help me prep for meals. He loves family dinner time and looks forward to our weekly taco night. I wonder if it is his personality or if it is a product of the way we introduced him to food. That is why I want to document this method with my youngest and maybe have some others try it as well to see what we can learn from our babies, and really listen to what they need. There is no right or wrong but rather just understanding our babies and what they need at different times. Each child is different. My goal is just to have stress free family meals without the stress of creating special menus for each member of our family. To be able to expose them to different cultures through food and sometimes without even leaving our home.
