Bio
Above all, Marlon is a thinker. He's always up for good conversation, and is often called on by close friends and family for in-depth analysis, solid advice, and practical solutions on personal issues, usually involving their relationships. He is a self-proclaimed "constructive culture critic" who strongly believes in "straight talk" that cuts to the heart of the matter. He certainly has a lot of "material" to draw from. He’s had his fair share of heartbreaks and breakups, but his keen insight can mostly be attributed to the ups and downs he’s had to endure at a very early age; all of which he’s learned from, and risen above.
Through it all, Marlon managed to put himself through school, earning a Bachelor's degree from Baruch College, with a focus in Marketing Management. His Business Policy professor once labeled him as being "suave, with a presence that commands an audience's attention, unlike anyone else I've seen in all of my 30 years of teaching.” To this day, Marlon will never accept such praises.
He admits (to his own amazement) to never being bored, and has many interests, which include studying artists and creative personalities from a variety of disciplines in his spare time. From graphic designers like Paula Scher, to creative thinker Seth Godin, to the legendary industrial design giant Luigi Colani.
Constantly in search of new perspectives, Marlon has a never-ending appetite for traveling and experiencing others’ lifestyles and cultures. As a huge fan of Tequila, you can catch him in his favorite Mexican restaurant, or Japanese sushi bar somewhere in New York City. As usual, exchanging new ideas, lending his advice and opinions, while seeking out the next good conversation.
