Bio
I am a Registered Dietitian (RD) and also currently a PhD student studying Nutrition and Exercise Science.
I played Division I soccer in college and am a firm believer in the synergistic relationship between physical activity and a healthy diet. Now that my days as a "legit" athlete are over I stay active by running, biking, lifting, hiking, skiing, and occassionally riding my sister's horses.
Like most of you, I lead a very busy life (school, work, volunteer activities, etc) that it can often be difficult to find the time to exercise and eat as healthy as I would like. Therefore, I have created this blog with you in mind. My posts will be centered around simple, easy ways to eat nutritious meals and increase physical activity in your hectic lives. I will also provide information about the latest nutrition and exercise-based research; motivational tips to keep you active; food and product reviews; as well as longer articles clearing up some confusing information we may come across in our attempts to lead a healthier life.
