Bio
Andrew takes photographs with soul. While perpetually in pursuit of the perfect lighting, framing or that angle not seen by the ordinary eye, he believes that, above all, his pictures must be metaphors that move and touch his audience. To him, a great photograph – the “it” shot, is defined not so much by the technical details, but by its power to remind or make one long for that something else. More than simply being evidence of living, his goal is to produce pictures that celebrate our being alive.
His journey began when he took on a summer job as a photographer’s assistant during his junior year of college. It was thanks to his having realized that this would become a full-time passion and, hopefully, career, that he barely graduated Mass Communications at The Philippine Women’s University. Those were the film days. It has been that long but never too long as he believes the journey is the destination.
As a writer, he challenges himself to be able to transform through creative writing what would normally be tedious collections of information into stimulating, entertaining and understandable bodies of work.
