About Stepping into Wellness
I'm Vicki LaBonne, and I started the blog Stepping into Wellness because I'm passionate about seeing people reach their highest potential; for their own benefit and the benefit of the world. The path to wellness is a lifelong journey, as there is always room for growth and deeper understanding of ourselves.
My personal journey began 25 years ago when I was smoking 3 1/2 packs of cigarettes per day and looking to transform my life. Many failed attempts, struggles and disappointments in trying to leave this habit behind lead me to finally try hypnosis. With a lot of hard work, to my amazement; I succeeded. Hypnosis gave me that edge that other methods had not, and I was able to outgrow this life-threatening habit.
After establishing my smoke-free life, I moved on to weight loss. Through hypnosis, meditation, exercise and diet, I was able to shed 90 lbs. I learned so much and was so inspired by these personal triumphs that I completed training to become a certified clinical hypnotherapist myself. I started my business, Transformations Thru Hypnosis, where I help others advance on their paths to wellness.
Throughout this journey, I have read many books and articles that helped me to rethink my way of being in the world. I believe traveling toward wellness involves a steady and balanced approach reaching into all aspects of our lives; from livelihood, to leisure, to diet and exercise, to relationships, to addictions. In all of these areas we must call upon our inner discipline, creativity, sense of purpose, and joie de vivre to create a complete picture of wellness. This blog is an effort to share some of this helpful information.
