Bio
NESS and STEVE
We live in Whiteshill near Stroud in Gloucestershire. Our home is a detached cotswold stone cottage, and 4 years ago we bought an extra piece land to add to our garden.
We spent 6 months clearing the area of weeds (mainly ivy and brambles) and now we grow vegetables for our table and we have also got some chickens which include, ex battery hens and pekin bantom's.
OUR KUNE KUNE PIGS
We also keep our Kune Kune pigs in a fenced off area at the back of our garden.
We have owned pigs since 2010 and first started by keeping a couple of saddlebacks for meat. we later decided to get some Kune Kunes as we wanted some pigs that we could keep without the sad ending!!
We purchased our girls Katie & Pippa in July 2011 and they have been a pleasure to keep, and that is why we have set up this blog in the hope to share our experience with others.
OUR COTTAGE GARDEN
We like to garden in a traditional way and follow a permaculture design with a no dig system of raised beds in the kitchen garden.
Steve enjoys baking and especially making jams and pickles so the produce from the garden is very important to our kitchen.
