Bio
Welcome to Wellness by Irish!
I am an AFAA & ACE CPT who has specialized in functional training, yoga, pilates and the barre method. 12 years ago I was diagnosed with a pain disorder and I have chronic nerve pain and migraines. I treat it with a mixture of acupuncture, chiropractor visits, massage and traditional medicine. I have changed the way I train over time due to meeting the most amazing people and sharing their journeys, and sharing their pain. I learned that the idea that pain is a necessary part of getting fit is a myth. You can be well and take care of yourself, especially when you have a chronic disorder, whether it's a pain disorder or something like Crohn's. There are ways to not increase your pain and still be fit. As long as you learn to take care of yourself and listen to your body, you can meet goals without having to abuse your body. This is what I would like to share with the world. Whether your ailment is as simple as a turned tailbone from childbirth or a chronic injury from years past, I want to help you modify your workouts. Fitness is not something you have to go through with pain. "Pain is gain" is only appropriate for some people. There is a portion of our population that cannot approach workouts with that mind set and shouldn't. I'm here to guide, I'm here to problem solve, and I"m here to make a difference. -
