Education - Jamel Amri graduated from the Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble (France), with:
• PhD degree, with a «Doctor Europaeus» distinction, in materials, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and electrochemistry. PhD thesis: «On growth and stifling of localized corrosion attacks in CO₂ and acetic acid environments: Application to the top-of-line corrosion of wet gas pipelines operated in stratified flow regime».
• MSc degree with high honors, major in materials science and engineering. MSc thesis (French): «Étude de l’influence des états de surface industriels des aciers inoxydables sur les propriétés semi-conductrices des films passifs». English title: «Effect of the industrial surface finishes of stainless steels on the semi-conducting properties of passive films».
• Master's degree in engineering (MEng) with honors in electrochemistry and electrometallurgy. He followed the final year of the engineer program within the framework of a Student Exchange Scheme at the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, INP-ENSIACET, with a specialisation in process engineering and computer science (France, 2003).
