Recover account

    I have an old WordPress.com blog, and I’ve lost access to it. I don’t remember the password, and the email address associated with the account was deleted from Gmail years ago.

    I understand that there are standard account recovery methods, such as a purchase ID, the original verification email, or a two-step authentication code. Unfortunately, I don’t have any of those. The AI support assistant tells me that without them, recovering the account isn’t possible, but please, there has to be another way.

    What I can tell you is that the profile picture on the blog is a photo of me as a child, and I still have the original printed photograph from the 1990s. If you compare that childhood photo with a recent one of me, it’s clear that it’s the same person.

    I honestly don’t know what else I can do. This blog means a great deal to me. I even created this new account just so I could access the forum and ask for help.

    Is there any alternative way to verify that I’m the rightful owner of the blog?
