To add a brand-new professional email address to your domain for the first time, follow these steps:
- Visit your site’s dashboard.
- Navigate to Upgrades → Emails (or Hosting → Emails if using WP Admin).
- Choose between a monthly or annual subscription at the top of the page. The price will be shown here.
- Under the Professional Email header, enter the following details:
- Email address: The name of the email address you wish to create (the part before the @ symbol.)
- Password: A password for your email account (minimum 10 characters.)
- To create multiple email addresses, click the “Add another mailbox” button and enter the details for the new mailbox. You can also add additional mailboxes after your initial purchase.
- Click the Purchase button and complete the checkout process.

If you previously set up free email forwarding for your domain name, it will stop working. However, you can set up free email forwarding within your new Professional Email mailbox settings.
Note: If you previously created a Titan email for your domain name with another provider, you cannot purchase Professional Email on WordPress.com. You can configure your Titan email to work with your WordPress.com hosted domain name.
If this is the first time you have signed up for Professional Email for your domain, you will start with a free three-month trial. You can view the price when going through the purchase process as above, but the price will show as zero when you proceed to checkout.
When the trial ends, you will be charged based on the billing schedule you selected:
- Annual: Your account will be charged for 9 months instead of 12.
- Monthly: Your account will be charged the standard monthly price.
You can add as many mailboxes as you need during the free trial. All mailboxes will be free during the trial period. At the end of the trial, each mailbox will be charged at the standard price.
Domain names that previously had a Professional Email subscription through WordPress.com or those connected to a Gravatar profile are not eligible for the free three-month trial.
