After you have purchased and set up your Professional Email, you can manage your email settings directly through your WordPress.com dashboard. This guide will show you how to add new mailboxes or change your email address.
You can add new mailboxes, manage existing mailboxes, and view billing and payment settings within your WordPress.com dashboard. To manage your mailboxes, follow these steps:
- Visit your WordPress.com dashboard.
- Navigate to Upgrades → Emails (or Hosting → Emails if using WP Admin).

- From here, you can:
- Click “Add new mailboxes” to create additional mailboxes for your domain.
- Click “Manage all mailboxes” to visit the Email Control Panel to take actions including:
- Click “View billing and payment settings” to manage the payment method, subscription renewal status, and cancel the subscription.
If you want to change your email address because you have mistakenly created an email account with a typo, or decided you want a different email address, you can use either of these options:
Create an email alias. You can use the alias to send and receive emails through your existing inbox. With this option, your existing emails will remain in your mailbox. Use this method to prevent data loss.
Deleting an existing mailbox will also delete all emails, calendar events and contacts associated with that email address.
Follow these steps to delete and create a new mailbox using the same license. If you have already deleted the mailbox you can skip to step 6.
- Visit your site’s dashboard.
- Navigate to Upgrades → Emails (or Hosting → Emails if using WP Admin).
- Under Mailboxes, you will find a list of each Professional Email email address you have created.
- Click the three dots icon on the right side of the mailbox you want to delete.
- Click “Remove mailbox” option from the drop-down menu.
- You should now see a message that says “You have 1 unused mailbox”.
- Click the “Set up mailbox” button.
- Create your new mailbox.
