Posts to Podcast turns your blog posts into an AI-generated podcast episode with two hosts having a conversation about your content. The feature creates a draft post with an audio file and a written transcript, which you can edit and publish like any other post.

Have a question?
Ask our AI assistantTo generate a podcast from your posts, follow these steps:
- In your site’s WP Admin dashboard, go to Media → Create AI Podcast.
- Choose which of your published posts to include. You can pick a time range (such as the last 7 days or the last month) or select specific posts.
- Click the Generate button.

Generation takes a few minutes. You can safely navigate away from the page — the generation continues in the background. Once it finishes, you will find a new draft post in Posts → All Posts containing the audio episode and the conversation transcript.
Each generation costs one credit and is final—it is not currently possible to retry the same generation, change the voices, or adjust the script after it runs.
A successful generation produces a draft post that contains an Audio block with the generated episode and a written transcript of the two-host dialogue. Voice selection, episode length, tone, and topic focus are not configurable at this time.
The post is saved as a draft so you can review it before it goes live. You can:
- Edit the post title, body, and transcript like any other post.
- Add a featured image, categories, and tags.
- Replace or remove the audio file from the Media library.
- Publish the post or save it for later.
Posts to Podcast is available on every WordPress.com plan, with a monthly credit allowance based on your plan:
- Personal plan: 5 per month.
- Premium plan: 10 per month.
- Business and Commerce plans: 20 per month.
- Free sites: 1 credit that does not refresh.
One credit generates one podcast episode. Unused credits do not carry over to the following month.
You can view your credit usage at Media → Create AI Podcast:

A generation cannot be re-run on the same draft. To try again with the same posts:
- Delete the draft post created by the previous generation.
- Delete the audio file from the Media library.
- Return to Media → Create AI Podcast and generate a new episode.
Each new generation uses another credit.
- Each generation is final. It is not currently possible to edit the script, change the voices, or re-run a generation against the same draft.
- Customization options (episode duration, tone, topic focus) appear in the interface marked as “Coming Soon” and are not active yet.
- The feature is flagged as experimental, which means the behavior, credit costs, and availability can change.
The two host voices and the script are generated by the AI model and cannot be edited before generation. You can edit the transcript text in the draft post after generation, but the audio file itself cannot be re-recorded with different voices.
The feature supports multiple languages.
The source posts are not modified. Posts to Podcast creates a separate draft post containing the audio file and transcript.
