Reshare a post on social media

After you’ve published a post, you can reshare it to your social networks again later. You can reshare manually on any plan, or instantly reshare and schedule reshares to your connected accounts on sites with the Premium plan or higher.

Manual sharing is available on every plan. You can reshare any published post yourself to networks like X (Twitter), WhatsApp, and Facebook, or copy a link to share anywhere.

To manually reshare a post, follow these steps:

1. In the post you want to share, click the Jetpack icon at the top-right.
2. Under Share to social media, navigate to the Manual Sharing section.
3. Click the icon for the social network you want to share to.
4. The social shares will open a new tab, while the copy link option will copy the link to your post to your clipboard.

This feature is available on sites with our WordPress.com Premium, Business, and Commerce plans. For free sites and sites on the Personal plan, upgrade your plan to access this feature.

You can instantly reshare any published blog post to one, all, or your choice of connected social networks. To instantly reshare a blog post, follow the steps below.

1. Click on Posts in the left sidebar of your site’s dashboard.
2. Hover your mouse over the title of the post you want to share.
3. Click the Share link that appears below the title. The editor will open with the “Share to social media” module expanded.
4. Click on any of the connected accounts you want to share to.
5. Enter an optional message to be shared with your post. On sites with the Business plan or higher, you can include placeholders that fill in your post’s details automatically.
6. Click the Share button, or click Schedule to reshare the post on a future date.

This feature is available on sites with our WordPress.com Premium, Business, and Commerce plans. For free sites and sites on the Personal plan, upgrade your plan to access this feature.

You can choose a specific date and time for your post to be reshared to your social networks. You can also set up your post to be reshared on multiple dates with different messages to your social media followers.

1. Click on Posts in the left sidebar of your site’s dashboard.
2. Hover your mouse over the title of the post you want to share.
3. Click the Share link that appears below the title. The editor will open with the “Share to social media” module expanded.
4. Click the accounts you want to share to and enter an optional message.
5. Click the Schedule button to schedule your post. Then, select the date and time you want the post to go out to your social networks.
6. Click the Confirm button to save your upcoming scheduled post.

You can cancel a scheduled reshare before it is published. The steps are:

1. Click on Posts in the left sidebar of your site’s dashboard.
2. Hover your mouse over the title of the post you want to share.
3. Click the Share link that appears below the title. The editor will open with the Share to social media module expanded.
4. Below the sharing options, you’ll find the Scheduled section.
5. Expand the section and click the trashcan icon next to any upcoming shares you want to cancel.
