Smart Dictation

Smart Dictation lets you write and edit your posts and pages using your voice. Speak naturally to add content, format text, insert images, and control the editor — including saving your work — without using your keyboard.

To start dictating, follow these steps:

1. Open a post or page in the WordPress editor.
2. Click the microphone icon in the toolbar at the top:

3. Click the “Start dictation” button.
4. Allow your browser to access your microphone if prompted.
5. Begin speaking. Smart Dictation adds your words to the editor in real time.

Smart Dictation gives you full voice control of the editor. Speak naturally to complete any of the following:

• Write content directly into any block.
• Format text, including headings, bold, and italics.
• Insert images.
• Add, edit, or rearrange any available block.
• Save your post or page, undo changes, or redo them.

You don’t need to memorize specific commands. Describe what you want, and Smart Dictation responds accordingly.
