1. This is my first blog site. I have not published anything for a long time. I want to know the status of this blog, whether it is still live and whether I can continue to use.

  2. In this Blog, I have 4 categories, I want to close two categories and continue publishing in only 2 categories, How to delete 2 categories to be discontinued?
  3. I have another blog site on the same wordpress.com with a different subject altogether. thebnyblogcom.wordpress.com I can not mix up both blog sites because of different subjects.. Can I continue both blog sites independently with different site addresses under the common account ?

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com sites are always live, no matter how long ago you worked on it. We don’t delete or take sites offline due to inactivity. Only the site owner, i.e. you, have the ability to make those types of changes.

  If you completely want to remove the categories from your site, you can do that at My Site ->Manage ->Settings ->Writing ->Categories, but note that won’t delete the posts published in those categories. It will only remove the categories from the posts they have been added to.

  If instead you just want to remove those categories from the site menu at the top so they’re no longer listed there, go to My Site ->Design ->Customize ->Menus ->Primary. Click on the menu items you no longer want, and click Remove. Then click the Save button at the top.

  The only site I see in your account is https://bnyblogs.wordpress.com/

  The site at https://thebnyblogcom.wordpress.com/ belongs to a completely different username account. If you want to manage both from the same account/username, you can do that by transferring ownership of the one site to the other account:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  They will remain two completely different sites, but the same username will be the author on both.
