Adding a music file from my computer

I’m trying to add music to my blog and can’t seem to do it. I’ve looked all over the self help tutorials and they are very specific for images and videos, but vague when it comes to audio. I’ve already added the space upgrade (13 GB total). When I try to “Add Media” then click on “Select Item” and then “Choose Existing” it only gives me the option of selecting photos. Please help me select a song from my iPad. Thank you for your time.

Hi there, you should be able to select an audio file from your computer using the Add Media button, the same way you’d upload an image.

After clicking that button, click the Upload Files tab on the next screen:

You should be able to select your audio file from there.

Hi Kathryn,
I have done those exact steps, but after selecting the “Upload Files” tab and then clicking on the “Select Files” icon the only options that come up are photos. The other thing is that the photos are in Apple’s “Photo” app. There’s no way to get out of the Photo app and select other types of files. Thank you for your help in figuring this out.

Hi Eric, would you mind trying a desktop or laptop computer and a different browser, to rule out an iPad or Safari-specific issue? You could try Chrome or Firefox.
The other thing to keep in mind is that when you see the file picker in the Media Library, you may need to navigate to another folder, where different types of files are kept on your device.
