Articles on the home page
-
Hi!
It’s probably a dumb question, but I’m currently working on changing the theme of my blog for the “Always” one. This theme displays all of my articles on the home page, but I would like to put a limit to the number of articles visible on this page. Do you know if it is possible with a free theme?
Thank you!

Yes, you can do that on the free plan.
You can use this short code to customize how many or which posts get displayed on the front page.

Thank you a lot!
I tried this code to see how it works, but if I understand, I have to create myself a “home page” and chose it as a static homepage (I’m currently on “latest posts”) in the “homepage settings” (customizing). Am I right ?

Yes, you are correct. You will want to set up the featured content static front page. For instructions on how to set that up:

You can also find the instructions from the theme page:
https://wordpress.com/theme/apostrophe-2
To change your front page to a static page under your Reading Settings here:

Thanks,
