Change Home Page to newly created Page within the site?
-
Hello. I am helping a friend who runs a womens golf league in Canada. Their previous webmistress has abandoned the web project so here I am. I have created a new home page but I am having difficulty moving ‘Home Page’ status from the old one to my new one. I have administrator privileges. Would you kindly advise my next step? I would like to avoid deleting the previous home page altogether as there is information I still need. I just need to change the status. Thank you!
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

You can set the new home page by following this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/

Thank you for the prompt response. However, when reviewing this information, which I
- did do
before posting my question, it instructs one to go to Pages then choose the applicable page then click the “three dots” next to that page then choose “Set as Home Page. Despite multiple looks and review I do not see “three dots”. Zip.
Is there another place to find the “three dots”?
Thank you in advance as this is very frustrating.

Hi there,
I see you have enabled the “classic view” for your pages interface, based on what I am seeing here https://ladiesnassauleague.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page
One thing to be aware of is that the “three dots” option is shown in the WordPress.com view instead.
However, there is another way to set this, and that is here in your site customizer: https://ladiesnassauleague.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php
If you look under the Homepage settings tab on the left, you will see there is a dropdown option to choose what page (from your list of published pages) you wish to set as your “homepage”

Hope this helps!
