Differences between the landing page and the home page.

  Hello. Could someone help me understand the differences between these two pages. If I just view my domain there’s nothing on it. Take a look:

  https://donacotravel.wordpress.com/

  But if I add ‘home’ to the end of the URL, it goes to the correct page (except for the big word ‘Home’ in the middle of the page, that doesn’t show up when I edit):

  Home

  A WordPress site can be set to show blog posts on the front (home) page, or set to show a static page of your choice. Here is a support document that will explain how to do that.

  https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/

  So, if you set your site’s front page to be https://donacotravel.wordpress.com/home/ then that page will appear when someone visits https://donacotravel.wordpress.com/
