displaying content of top post but excerpts of the older ones

  I would like to display the entirety of the top post on my home page, but excerpts of the rest of the posts on the home page. How do I do this? I have tried different coding changes but can’t get it to work. I am using the clearlines theme.

  The WordPress.com site you’ve linked to is empty and is using the Twenty Twelve theme, so my thought is that you may be posting to the wrong support forum.

  This is the support forum for sites hosted on WordPress.com. If you are referring to is a self-hosted WordPress.org install, you can get support at http://wordpress.org/support/
