Domain Pointing Issues
-
I am moving my domain (not wordpress domain). My domain provider has the correct DNS for the new host. I have wordpress set up on the new host server. I have cancelled my upgrade on wordpress and deleted the wordpress domain (after I exported, of course). Now the .org domain continues to automatically redirect to a wordpress.com domain and shows it has been cancelled. How do I get rid of this automatic redirect issue?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What is the URL?
Post it here and then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Also subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting. aishonors.org is the url that is automatically redirecting. I should also say that I have not waited the full 24/48 hours for the DNS update to take effect. Typically it happens much quicker than that. So my question may be answered by waiting the 24/48 hours.

It can take up to 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can check here https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/aishonors.org

aishonors.org is currently pointing to a WP (org) install for me. If you are still seeing the site on WordPressdotcom, you may need to clear your browser cache and cookies.

Hi there,
We have no control over your domain any more. We lost that the moment you cancelled the mapping upgrade on our end.
But your browser might still be “remembering” the old location of the domain. Clearing the browser cache as @justjennifer suggested should fix it.
