GETTING AN ERROR MESSAGE WHILE UPLOADING VIDEO–HTTP error

Good Day, I am uploading video but keep getting an error message. Please advise.

Can you tell me the exact message of the error you’re getting? What type of file you’re importing? And what size your file is?

“http error”.
Its a video presentation 3o minutes long that was edited in imovie.
I am at work but can check the exact size of the file when I get home.

Thanks for following up! We sometimes see this error with larger uploads. Are you uploading straight to a post? Or to the Media Library? We’ve found that people have better luck uploading directly to the Media Library and then adding the content to their post.
Can you try that and let me know how it goes?

I see that the video file is 1.4GB but there is a max of 1GB. Is there a way to override this?

There’s no way to override the file size restrictions. You can try optimizing your file size. I’ve heard Handbrake has some compression and optimization tools? Or you can host the file with another service that has a larger upload size like Vimeo or YouTube:
