Missing Sites from my Dashboard! moglook

    In my WordPress app on my ipad, I can see my 5 sites:

    Michael Jarman Art
    Michael Jarman Artist
    Cairo Trip
    He Leadeth Me Beside the Still Waters
    Ana Maria – Memórias

    When I click “Dashboard”, it takes me to the web where I only see:

    Michael Jarman Art
    Cairo Trip
    Michael Jarman Artist

    I need to be able to see Ana Maria – Memórias in the dashboard! All of these sites have different email addresses associated with them, but yet they are all on my dashboard except the one I need the most…!

    The site web addresses are:

    Please note that my site at jarmanmichael.wordpress.com was created in 2008, I believe.

    You need to place the modlook tag into the tag box here on the far right.
    Perhaps the site you’re looking for is under a different username? Is this you:

    Can you explain what you mean by not seeing the site in your dashboard? Are you talking about your computer, your phone or the app itself? There is support for the app here: https://apps.wordpress.com/support/

    In my WordPress app on my ipad, Im able to see and post in 5 sites. But when I click “dashboard”, and I’m taken to the web, I’m only able to see and work on 3 of the sites. The other 2 are not visible and cannot be edited or worked on.

    jarmanmichael.wordpress.com and michaelscoffee.wordpress.com are not under your michaeljarman2 WordPress.com account, but rather under the username jarmanmichael. Do you happen to have access to that WordPress.com account as well?

    I can post and create pages under both those sites via my WordPress app on my ipad! But because of their tie to an old obsolete email ( (email visible only to moderators and staff) ), Im not able to log in to the dashboard for those accounts on the web. I have no current recovery email addresses associated with that obsolete account! I created my first site “Ana Maria – Memórias” (jarmanmichael.wordpress.com) in 2008. If you will look at that site, you will see that I recently added 3 new pages with lots of content! I added “My Father’s Family “, “My Mother’s Family”, and “Childhood in Santa Maria”. I am able to do that because I have access via my app on my ipad! Unless WordPress fixes this so I can get to my site’s dashboard via the web, I am at the mercy of my ipad app continuing to work. Because I cannot access my account via iphone or laptop.

    Do you have a transaction ID? No

    Do you have an activation URL or key? No

    Do you have two factor authentication codes? No

    So you are logged into the app as the jarmanmichael username? Click on the profile icon in the app – you should see the username listed at the top.

    If you click Account Settings there, you should be able to update the email address for that account, which would allow you to then reset the password via a web browser.

    But make sure you change to a password not already associated with another WordPress.com account. You will not be able to use the same email as for your michaeljarman2 account, for example.

    If it won’t work, please reply with the email you’re trying to change to so we can check it.

    Before I try what you are suggesting, let me answer your question about which account Im in while in the app.

    When I open my app and click on the “Me” icon at the bottom, it says:

    Username: michaeljarman2
    Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    When I click “view site” (in the app), it takes me to the site (still in the app, I assume?), and when I click on the account setting from the avatar on top right of page, it says under account settings:

    Username: jarmanmichael
    Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff) (a deactivated email account).

    If I try to export the site content, it says it will send the information to this deactivated email account.

    There appears to be a cross up somehow, somewhere…

  • Instead of trying to export the site content, could you update the email address to an address that

    1 – works currently

    2 – is not already in use by another WordPress account?

    If you’ll do that you’ll be able to gain proper browser access for both accounts, and we can help you consolidate from there.

  • @michaeljarman2 perfect. Any luck? It looks like you’ve sent several address change requests; are you checking the new address for the confirmation and clicking on that?

    You might need to open the link in an incognito browser if your browser is logged in as michaeljarman2.

    Ok, I absolutely cannot change the email for jarmanmichael.wordpress.com.
    I have tried several times. It redirects me to my other site at michaeljarmanartist.wordpress.com. And for this site, I ended up changing (successfully) the email twice. I cannot affect a new email address for jarmanmichael.wordpress.com

    I click on the confirmation link… but cannot get to the site Im trying to affect at jarmanmichael.wordpress.com. 😫

  • Please make sure you first log out of the michaeljarman2 account in your browser before you try to click the confirmation link for changing the email on the other account.

    If you click the link while logged in as michaeljarman2, our system will just take you back to this account as you’re describing.

    Ok, I logged out of michaeljarman2.

    So I try to log into jarmanmichael after clicking the link emailed to me. BUT, the matter from the very beginning has been this one singular problem (and still is the problem): I forgot the password associated with that site. I cannot log into jarmanmichael on the web. I only have access to that site via my ipad because I guess I never logged out of it.

  • Please follow these steps exactly:

    1. Log out of your browser
    2. Click the link from the latest change email request (I can see you’ve sent several) This will confirm the address change for you, but only if you have logged out first.
    3. Use the password reset form to change your password. You’ll get an email link; click that and change the password.
    4. Login as jarmanmichael.

    When you have done each of these steps please respond here if you need more help. Thanks!

    I know I seem as dumb as a post 😕, but no password reset form appears. And I’m forced to enter my original password for jarmanmichael, which I don’t know. So I click, “forgot password”, and it says it will send a link to my email, but the email goes to my original email address that doesn’t exist.

  • You won’t be able to reset the password until you change the email address.

    What email address are you trying to update to? Are you getting the reset links there? If you log out of your browser, then click on a link, what happens?
