Moving from wordpress.com to wordpress.org?

  I want to move my wordpress domain from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. My current domain is registered with a 3rd party, but my wordpress.com blog maps to the site. I have installed wordpress with my 3rd party hosting, but whenever I visit my domain, I am still redirected to the wordpress.com dashboard.

  How can I transition to a self-hosted version of my site?

  You will need to log into your domain registrar and redirect your domain to point to your new webhost. Most likely by changing the nameservers. Your registrar should have support instructions for doing this. I wish I could be more assistance, but as the domain is not registered at WordPress.com, there isn’t much more I can do.
