As for the images, they seem to be just fine. Please try clearing your browser’s cache: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

Can I ask another question? My images have all disappeared again. I have cleared the cache but to no avail. What can I do to get them back?

Are you referring to http://sewjournal.com/ now, as that is where the WordPress.com URL is now directing.

Yes I am. I have emptied the cache but none of the images is showing except the header image

Ok, http://sewjournal.com/ is a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, which we really can’t help with.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
WordPress.org has complete support and documentation sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress via their Codex and Support Forums.

But you said you pointed sewjournal.com to point to mysewjournal.wordpress.com (see your post above) and I changed the DNS to point to wordpress.com. In fact I just double checked them and they point to:
Nameservers: (Last update 7/31/2012)
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM so maybe you need to empty your cache to see the new site. -
Ah, I see it now. Must have still been propagating.
Unfortunately, the images are pointing to where they used to be and weren’t transferred over.
When you imported the content, did you check the box to import attached media as well?

Yes, that would be because it was pointing to where the files used to be, on the old hosting provider.
I’d recommend trying the import again, but in order for that work, the domain will need to be pointed back to the old hosting provider, and we’ll need to empty to WordPress.com blog.
Please let us know if and when you’d like to proceed.

OK I’ve pointed the DNS to the hosting nameservers. CAn you please empty the blog and let me know when I can import it again please?

You can safely direct the domain back to WordPress.com by changing the nameservers to:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM -
