My featured images and post images dont appear in Reader

No images in my posts on reader, only text. My featured images and post images dont appear in Reader, only sentences I wrote in my blog. Please help!

Please note that your site: pebblesinthesky.com is a WordPress.org site – not WordPress.com. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. At WordPress.com, we provide hosting, support, and tons of features for blogs. Users also have the option to purchase a variety of upgrades to customize the look and feel of their blog. WordPress.org is a software for self-hosted sites. With WordPress.org, users are provided access to all backend files and can upload custom themes and plugins.

As for the Reader, it is a strictly WordPress.com feature. While you are able enter any RSS feed URL to a blog hosted anywhere into our WordPress.com Reader, I cannot control how the images appear or not appear since your site is not hosted on WordPress.com.

Hi Grace, thanks for your feedback, appreciated. I am very aware of the difference between org and com in the wordpress world, I’ve been with the platforms for over a decade. I connect my self hosted website to my wordpress account, which is the reason why Jetpack exists I suppose. many sites are like mine self hosted and they seem to have a featured image or post images appearing on reader, it just doesn’t make sense why mine does not. a mystery maybe?
