Not getting notifications of comments

I chose to receive notifications of comments on this blog fromrome.info but have never received any.

You’re definitely subscribed to comment emails on that site, but our logs don’t show that we’ve been sending any, only new post emails.
I’ve disabled and re-enabled comment emails for your account on that site. Give it a few hours, and if you still don’t see any comment notification emails come through, please let us know.

To clarify, you’re expecting to see those comment notification from the bell icon in your WordPress.com account or through email?

Thanks. When you search for WordPress.com in your email client do you find any results? Double check you’re searching the email associated with the account from https://wordpress.com/me/account/
I know that our logs show those didn’t come through previously.

Could you take a screen shot of what you’re seeing? It can be linked here with a third party like droplr. That will give us a better idea of what is going on.
Also, go to https://browsehappy.com/ on that same device and let me know what type of browse you are using and the version number.
Have you already tried using a different browser like chrome or firefox on that device? And does that work any differently?

I’m sorry I don’t know how to send screenshots. I did deselect and then reselect notifications for comments. That link doesn’t tell me which version of safari I’m using. And I don’t understand how using a different browser would affect my getting notifications. Are you saying I should try another browser to deselect and then reselect notifications for comments?

Using a different browser won’t make any difference here, no. And we tried un- and resubscribing as the very first step, so we’re just redoing the same thing and expecting different results for some reason.
You are properly subscribed to comments on that site, but no emails are being sent from our end. I can see we’re sending emails for new posts, subscription confirmation emails each time you un- and resubscribe, comment like emails, but no comment notification emails.
That’s not a problem with your browser or your email client. It’s a problem with the system on our end that sends out these emails, related either to this site or to your account.
I’ve now subscribed to comments on that site myself. If I get notifications of new comments, it would point to the problem being specific to your account, and if I don’t, the problem is with that site. Once we know that we can investigate further.
I’ll check back in a few hours to see if any new comments have been left on that site if I don’t get any notifications before then.
