Not getting notifications of comments
-
Hi! Sorry I didn’t get back to this yesterday.
I’m not receiving any comments for that site either. I also subscribed to comment on a different site, and there I’m receiving them as I should.
I’m reporting this to our developers to take a look, but as it’s apparently only affecting a single site, it might not be a priority item to look into, so I can’t give you a timeline on when it might be working again.

Thanks. Would it help if I told the site editor and he contacted someone also? If so, then who should he contact?

He’d be welcome to post here. We might have him try enabling comment notifications for individual posts to see if that helps.

Sure thing. From the post editing view, on the right hand side, click on
more optionsthen look for thediscussionsettings whereallow commentsshould be enabled. -

I think staff-zinnia misunderstood what you’re asking – she’s referring to the option in the editor to enable comments on a post. That has nothing to do with whether or not someone can subscribe to them.
The setting @supernovia referred to is at https://fromrome.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-discussion.php, right towards the bottom. That controls whether or not a “Follow comments” checkbox appears on the comment form itself, next to the “Follow Blog” checkbox that’s already there. That allows one to subscribe to comments on a single post, as opposed to the Reader setting which lets you subscribe to all comments on all posts on the site.
As far as I know changing that setting shouldn’t make any difference, as all that is supposed to do is control whether or not the option appears – it shouldn’t disable comment subscriptions on the site completely – but it’s worth checking to rule that out as a possibility.
