Please help me get started

HI I’m afraid I’m a bit ‘techy ‘ illiterate hopefully you can help. Firstly I have put everything I would like to appear on entering my site on the Gravatar. However when I tested this by inviting myself on email I got the picture of the ‘themed’ camel. also how do people find my blog? does it have a web address? I have tried the lesleygodbolt.wordpress.com and nothing comes up on a search engine?
please can you help?

It won’t come up on a search engine until you have some content there. Right now there is no reason at all for a search engine to index you. Blog with fresh, original content and in a few days or a few weeks search engines will pick up your blog.
