    Hi everyone! 👋

After making some recent changes to my webpage, I started getting this notification every time I go to save. The problem is that I didn’t actually modify any of the elements it’s flagging, yet it prompts me to save them every single time. Also, saving itself is taking unusually long, which is making things pretty frustrating to work with.
I’ve already looked into my plugins and web code, and neither seems to be the culprit. So I’m a bit stuck on what else could be causing this.

Has anyone run into something similar? I’d love to understand what might be causing this and how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

  • Hi there!

This is a known issue caused by the Real-Time Collaboration feature in the editor. It’s writing behind-the-scenes data that the editor mistakenly flags as unsaved changes.

A fix has already been released and should reach your site soon. In the meantime, you can resolve this by going following this guide to turn off Real-Time Collaboration: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/real-time-collaboration/#enable-or-disable-real-time-collaboration

That should stop the false save prompts and the slow saves immediately.

Let us know if that helps or if you run into anything else!
