I want to remove my homepage but don’t know how

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Your homepage is currently using the “Blog Home” template from the Twenty Twenty-Four theme.

To change your homepage, you have two options:

    1. Edit your existing homepage template by going to your Pages section and clicking the “Edit homepage” button at the top.
    2. Create a static page as your new homepage by adding a page under your Pages section, publishing it, and then setting it as your homepage via Settings > Reading.

We have some more information about this here: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/

What if I want to delete it completely so that the first thing visitors to my site see are my blog posts?

  • Hi there!

Great question! You can absolutely switch your site so that visitors see your latest blog posts first instead of a static homepage. Here’s how:

    1. Go to My Site → Settings → Reading (you can also get there by visiting yourdomain.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php).
    2. Under Your homepage displays, select “Your latest posts”.
    3. Click Save Settings.

That’s it! Your site will now show your most recent blog posts as the first thing visitors see.

If you’d also like to fully delete the old homepage after making this change, you can head over to Pages, find the page that was previously set as your homepage, and move it to the Trash. Since it’s no longer assigned as the homepage, removing it won’t cause any issues.
