Visitor count does not match views from number of countries

    Dear Support Team,

    I have been watching the stats of our website a few times and found that the number of visitors shown at the large graphics on the top of the stats does not add up to the number of minimum visitors coming from all countries whose number of views are listed below the large graphics on the right-hand side. Example: today I saw that we had ‘1 visitor’ but there were 4 countries with more than 1 view from each, so neither the number of visitors was sensible, nor did the views from the country-stats add up to the number of views in the large stats-panel at the top of the stats-site.
    Would be great if you could have a look into that!

    Hi there,

    Is it possible that in the time since you posted this, your stats have filled in more data? At the time I write this, I see that your stats show that you have had 8 visitors today from 6 different countries.

    One thing to be aware of is that our stats are not presented in real-time, and it takes some effort to crunch the data fully before it can all be presented.

    For example, you notice that your visitor count lags behind your views count from time to time. This is due to the way we process the numbers. Typically a view (or the country the view has taken place) is reported relatively quickly. However, it can take a few hours for the visitor data to show up in your stats, even though the views are shown much sooner.

    For best results, we recommend focusing on stats that are at least 24 hours old for the most accurate view of traffic. E.g., your stats from yesterday are more accurate than your today’s (before it is complete) as we are still collecting and displaying data.
