Why aren't new "followers" showing up in my stats?

  People following my blog aren’t getting email notifications. Plus, my number of “followers” number isn’t going up to reflect the new people who are joining.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Can you let me know the usernames or email addresses of two or three followers who are not receiving email notifications? I would be happy to look into this for you.

  Rachel:

  The first person’s email address is: (email visible only to moderators and staff).
  She said she tried several times to sign up to follow. She’s not gotten any notification that she’s been able to do so and I’ve not seen my “follower” number go up to reflect this.

  Hi Debbie,

  I checked that person’s subscriptions, and she hasn’t confirmed her subscription to your blog yet. This explains why she isn’t receiving email notifications from your blog and why you aren’t seeing her among your blog’s followers.

  It’s possible that the confirmation email for her subscription was sent to her email spam/junk folder. If that’s the case, she should check that folder for the email and try adding *@wordpress.com (all emails from the domain) and/or (email visible only to moderators and staff) to her email contacts to make sure she receives the confirmation email.

  Hi Debbie,

  You’re very welcome! I checked the second email address you gave me, and this person also hasn’t confirmed her subscription. She will need to confirm it to start receiving email notifications.
